The colon, or large intestine, is the last part of the digestive tract. It is approximately 5 feet (1½ metres) long and 2½ inches in diameter. Colonic Hydrotherapy (or Colonic Irrigation as it used to be known) is an internal bath that helps cleanse the colon of gas, accumulated faecal matter and mucous deposits. Such techniques were first recorded in 1500BC and have been used in natural medicine since that time.
Using sterilised equipment, filtered water is gently introduced into the rectum which progressively softens and expels faecal matter and compacted deposits. The whole process takes about 45 minutes and the modesty of the client is preserved to the utmost.
